Eutelsat has selected Enensys Technologies to power its first next-generation Direct-to-Home satellite platform based on the DVB-NIP (DVB Native IP) standard.
The partnership aims to transform how content is delivered to multiscreen environments, with a focus on flexibility, reach, and cost-efficiency.
Enensys will provide the core infrastructure for the platform, enabling Eutelsat to offer native IP satellite services that support linear TV, video-on-demand, educational content, and more—distributed via multicast adaptive bitrate (mABR) technology.
“This is a pivotal transformation toward native IP satellite broadcasting,” said Regis Le Roux, CEO of Enensys. “Our solution unlocks new use cases across education, hospitality, edge caching, and multiscreen streaming.”
The platform, now deployed at Eutelsat’s Rambouillet Teleport, is designed to help DTH operators expand their reach to connected and unconnected devices alike, opening new revenue streams and improving accessibility in underserved regions.
“Enensys was a natural choice,” said Annamaria Recchia, VP Commercial Development at Eutelsat. “Their expertise in DVB innovation and IP delivery makes them the ideal partner to shape the future of satellite-based multimedia.”
A live demonstration of the DVB-NIP platform will be showcased at IBC 2025, held from September 12–15, offering attendees a glimpse into the next era of satellite broadcasting.
