Hearst Networks Germany and Sky Deutschland have renewed their partnership with a new multi-year carriage deal that secures the continued distribution of The History Channel and Crime + Investigation across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The agreement ensures Sky customers will retain access to the two factual entertainment channels both linearly and on demand via Sky Q, Sky Stream and WOW, or Sky X in Austria and Sky Show in Switzerland. In addition, Sky Media will continue to handle advertising sales for both channels.

By extending our partnership with Hearst Networks, we are strengthening this documentaries portfolio in a sustainable way – and offering even more relevant, high-quality content for a steadily growing demand.”
Upcoming highlights on The History Channel include Kevin Costner’s The West (from 7 September), the Leonardo DiCaprio-produced documentary event Sitting Bull (6 September), and series such as Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny and The Greatest Discoveries with Dan Snow.
Crime + Investigation will showcase Cold Case Files – Dead West, followed by documentary specials such as The Child from the Fire – The Delimar Vera Case (29 September), Jack the Ripper – Bloody Headlines (26 October) and the series Secrets of the Bunny Ranch – The TV Brothel (from 9 October).
The History Channel is available for all Sky customers with the Entertainment Plus package on Sky Q via satellite and cable, while Crime + Investigation is also part of the same package via satellite. Both channels are accessible through Sky’s streaming platforms WOW, Sky Stream and Sky X, and via Sky Show in Switzerland.
