Bundesliga International has announced a sweeping new broadcast strategy for the United Kingdom and Ireland, securing multi-year deals with a range of media partners to deliver unprecedented access to German football across traditional and digital platforms.
The initiative ensures fans can follow top-tier Bundesliga action—including England captain Harry Kane at FC Bayern München and rising star Jobe Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund—through a mix of pay-TV, streaming, and free-to-air options.
Sky Sports will continue its exclusive coverage of the Saturday “top match” (17:30 BST), along with highlights and weekly programming. Prime Video enters the fold with rights to all Sunday fixtures on a pay-per-view basis, including the 2026 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup and promotion/relegation playoffs.
In a major move to broaden reach, BBC Sport will stream all Friday night matches free-to-air via BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website, and app. The strategy also includes a groundbreaking partnership with YouTube football creators, marking the first time a top European league has granted live rights to content creators.
Popular channels The Overlap (Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Ian Wright) and That’s Football (Mark Goldbridge) will each stream 20 matches during the 2025–26 season. The Bundesliga’s own YouTube channel will also carry Friday night games and select Bundesliga 2 fixtures.
“This multi-layered strategy reflects the diversity of our fanbase,” said Peer Naubert, CEO of Bundesliga International. “By combining legacy broadcasters with digital innovators, we’re redefining how top-level football is experienced in the UK and Ireland.”
The Bundesliga’s strong connection to English talent continues to grow, with Kane leading Bayern to a title last season and Jobe Bellingham joining Dortmund to follow in his brother Jude’s footsteps.
With this ambitious rollout, Bundesliga International aims to make “Football As It’s Meant To Be” more accessible than ever.
