Innovations include multi-language commentary, timeline markers, and in France, a new multi-screen feature to watch four matches at once.
Mixed Doubles Spotlight: A revamped $1M mixed doubles tournament (19–20 August) will kick off Fan Week, featuring blockbuster pairings such as Swiatek/Ruud, Raducanu/Alcaraz, and Venus Williams/Opelka. Matches will use shorter formats (four-game sets, no-ad scoring, super tiebreaks).
Coverage will be presented from Flushing Meadows by Lesly Boitrelle, joined by legends John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, and Justine Henin. Henin will also report for French audiences via Eurosport Tennis Club.
In the Nordics, singles finals will air on free-to-air channels (Kanal 9, TV5, Rex, and 6’eren), with select national players’ matches also available free.
Men’s singles focus is on Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, winners of the last seven Grand Slams. In women’s singles, Aryna Sabalenka defends her US Open title.
WBD will amplify coverage through local-language editorial, highlights on YouTube in seven languages, and behind-the-scenes content across digital and social platforms.
The US Open builds on WBD’s summer tennis coverage (Roland-Garros, Wimbledon) and precedes its exclusive broadcast of the Laver Cup in September.
