Disney+ is making further moves into live sports in the UK & Ireland with an agreement to screen top-flight Spanish football on Saturday nights.
Starting 16 August, subscribers will be able to watch live coverage of LaLiga featuring clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid.
The season kicks off with Valencia CF and Real Sociedad at the iconic Mestalla Stadium, live on Disney+ from 20:30 BST.
Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, said Disney+ would bring the same amount of excitement from the pitch as it did for the drama of its entertainment content.
Production and match commentary will be provided by the Disney-owned ESPN. The commentary team will feature broadcasters Ian Darke and Rob Palmer, alongside Real Madrid and Liverpool legend Steve McManaman.
Starting October 2025, Disney+ will also become the home of the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe for the next five seasons.
Separately, Premier Sports has renewed its own LaLiga deal and will screen live coverage of LaLiga for the next three seasons.
