MBC GROUP, a major media organisation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has announced a new regional partnership with Netflix.
Subscribers to MBCNOW will be able to access the full Netflix service within a bundle that combines Shahid’s library of Arabic TV shows, films, and documentaries and linear TV channels under a single subscription. The bundle provides a cost saving of over 21% compared to separate subscriptions.
It’s the first time that Netflix has agreed to such a partnership in MENA.
Bhanu Chaddha, Director of Distribution and TV Products at MBC GROUP, added: “MBC GROUP’s collaboration with Netflix aims to offer content through a single subscription as part of our efforts to enhance both global and local viewing experiences for audiences in the region.”
Mohammed Al Kuraishi, Head of Business Development and Partnerships, Middle East and Africa at Netflix, said: “We are pleased to partner with MBC GROUP to provide members in Saudi Arabia and across the region with access to our service, which includes international and Arabic shows, movies, documentaries, children’s content, live events, and games.”
MBCNOW launched in February 2025, introducing a unified approach to content consumption for audiences in Saudi Arabia and the broader Arab region. Designed to integrate digital streaming with traditional broadcast television, it brings together MBC’s channels and Shahid in one platform.
