DAZN Italy and Warner Bros. Discovery expand carriage agreement

July 28, 2025 13.18 Europe/London By Julian Clover

DAZN Italy and Warner Bros. Discovery have they’ve renewed their partnership with a new multi-year agreement.

DAZN subscribers will be able to access Eurosport’s multisport content directly through the DAZN app. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery’s free-to-air channels – including Nove, Real Time, DMAX, and Discovery Channel – will become available on DAZN.

The partnership, originally established in 2020, will see DAZN Italy increase its multisport offerings, which already include Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2. Over the coming months, DAZN plans to incorporate all digital content from Eurosport into its platform, providing live coverage of events such as Roland-Garros and the Australian Open, full broadcasts of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, and all stages of cycling tours like the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a España. Coverage will also feature Monument Classics from the UCI World Tour (including Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Paris-Roubaix, and Giro di Lombardia), winter sports, UFC events, PGA Tour golf, World Snooker Tour, and motorsports including WEC, Speedway, and Formula E.

The renewed agreement is part of a wider European strategy and is intended to provide a broader range of multisport content for DAZN users in Italy.

Stefano Azzi, CEO of DAZN Italy, said the company continues to invest in Italy: “Expanding our existing agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery strengthens a collaboration that has been ongoing since 2020 and leads to an even more integrated and complete in-app offering.” We’re proud to enhance our synergy with such a prestigious partner, with whom we share both vision and ambition.”

A further aspect of the agreement includes the integration of Warner Bros. Discovery’s entertainment channels – Nove, Real Time, DMAX, and, from autumn, Discovery Channel – into the DAZN service. This will expand the range of programming available to DAZN subscribers.

Alessandro Araimo, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery Italy & Iberia added that there was a mutual recognition of the importance of comprehensive sports programming. “Additionally, we’re excited to bring our entertainment channels to a new platform like DAZN, offering a new showcase for our free-to-air content. This move further demonstrates our group’s innovation in both content production and distribution.”
