
BT Group has appointed Virgin Media O2’s Patricia Cobian to manage its finances when once Simon Lowth retires next year.
Patricia Cobian will step down as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect and begin a 12-month “gardening leave”. A recruitment process will begin imminently.
Lutz Schüler, CEO of Virgin Media O2 said he was sad to see her leave after 20 years at Telefónica, O2 and Virgin Media O2. “Patricia has played a pivotal role in our journey so far – her integrity, strategic insight and deep commitment to our people and business has shaped who we are today. Patricia has been a trusted partner and friend, and I wish her nothing but success in the future.”
Mark Hardman, Director of Finance Operations, and Nick Taylor, Director of Capital Allocation, will act as joint interim CFOs while the search for a successor.
