Sky Italia has announced the creation of a new sport, news and entertainment division, led by Giuseppe De Bellis.
From later this month, Sky Sport, Sky TG24 and all content activities from big floor entertainment productions, to cinema, TV series, documentaries and unencrypted channels will all fall under the new structure.
The objective is to develop an integrated, cross-functional approach that fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration across platforms, talent, and editorial areas.
47 year-old De Bellis joined Sky in 2018, first as deputy co-director of Sky Sport, and the following year as director of news channel Sky TG24.
Under his direction, Sky TG24 has given priority to international stories, and adopted a data-driven approach to information, with the use of data to explain news and social, economic and political issues; but also, for the push to digitise the output, with the strengthening of its online and social media offers.
