IP Österreich rebrands as RTL AdAlliance in Austria

July 1, 2025 11.02 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Austria’s advertising sales house IP Österreich has officially completed its integration into RTL AdAlliance, adopting the RTL corporate identity and operating henceforth under the international RTL AdAlliance brand.

The move unifies international and national advertising sales under one roof and signals a fresh chapter for the company, rooted in local expertise and international scale.

The rebranding aligns the Austrian operation with RTL United, RTL Group’s unified brand, and positions RTL AdAlliance as a one-stop-shop for advertisers seeking premium video inventory across linear, digital, and addressable platforms. The portfolio includes major national media brands such as RTL channels, RTL+, Canal+ Action, Sky Sport Austria, DMAX Austria, TLC Austria and Sport1, now complemented by RTL AdAlliance’s extensive European offerings.

As part of this strategic transition, Elisabeth Frank has been appointed Managing Director, effective 1 January 2026, succeeding long-standing CEO Walter Zinggl. She will be joined by Claudia Ostermann-Schabata as VP & Deputy Managing Director and Oliver Vesper as International Managing Director. Zinggl will remain with the company as a consultant until early 2027 to ensure leadership continuity.

“We’re not only marking a rebranding but celebrating a transformation into a future-ready company,” said Zinggl. “We remain the trusted partner for Austrian advertisers, now with the added strength of international reach and innovation. RTL AdAlliance stands for simplicity and value – for advertisers and publishers alike.”

Since the integration was announced in October 2024, RTL AdAlliance in Austria has restructured its organisation and corporate design, with all employees now embedded in the new framework. A key part of the transition will be the launch of a digital initiative later this year, focusing on product development, data analytics and enhanced Total Video capabilities, supported by RTL Group’s adtech subsidiary smartclip.

“With our extensive portfolio of owned media and trusted third-party partnerships, RTL AdAlliance delivers brand-safe, scalable reach,” said Oliver Vesper, Chief Digital Officer and Deputy CEO of RTL AdAlliance. “Our goal is to become an indispensable Total Video partner for advertisers in Austria and across Europe.”
