
The Presidential campaign and the Eurovision Song Contest combined to deliver an increase in Polish viewing time in May.
Nielsen’s The Gauge reports that 3 hours and 50 minutes per day was spent in front of TV screens, unchanged on April 2025, but up by a significant 18 minutes on 2024.
In linear broadcasts, the Eurovision Song Contest broadcast, the Polish series M jak miłość, and the festival Sopocki Hit Kabaretowy – Idź na całość garnered the most viewers’ attention. Among the top 10 programmes were also the presidential debates broadcasts, held on May 9 and 12. The most-watched TV stations were TVP1, Republika, and Polsat.
Streaming’s share of total TV screen viewership reached 9.4%, a 0.1% increase compared to April 2025. YouTube maintained its leading position with a 2.2% share, while Netflix saw growth, reaching 1.7% of total TV screentime. Additionally, services like Player and Canal+ also experienced an increase, contributing to the overall rise in streaming’s share of total viewership.
