Plume Appoints Dave Wechsler as Chief Business Officer

June 19, 2025 12.36 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Plume has appointed Dave Wechsler to the post of Chief Business Officer as the AI-powered SaaS platform makes further management changes.

Wechsler has decades of experience across smart home, broadband, and emerging technologies.

Wechsler will lead Plume’s global business strategy, including opening new business channels and overseeing M&A.

“Connectivity is evolving fast, and ISPs need more than products, they need partners who understand their pressures, priorities, and the path forward,” said Dan Herscovici, CEO and President of Plume. “Dave brings both a clear grasp of what ISPs need today and a strong sense of where the industry is headed. His ability to turn data intelligence into growth across partnerships strategy and execution, will help us deepen our impact and expand further, globally.”

Wechsler joins Plume from OMERS Ventures, where he focused on Fintech and served as an industry thought leader on trends such as AI and blockchain. Prior to OMERS, he led smart home strategy, growth initiatives, and partnerships for Comcast and Hippo Insurance. Wechsler is also a multi-time founder and serial entrepreneur primarily in the IoT sector.

“I’ve spent most of my career at the intersection of connectivity, IoT, and emerging technology,” explained Wechsler. “We are past the AI hype cycle and it’s now about delivering real, operational impact customers can feel. ISPs are prioritizing smarter, more adaptive networks, and Plume saw that need early. I’m excited to help our partners tap into this next era of intelligence, uncover new use cases, and expand Plume’s presence in emerging markets.”

With one of the largest connected device datasets in the world, Plume’s AI engine learns from billions of interactions to proactively resolve issues, personalise experiences, and adapt in real time.
