AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) has secured a significant multi-territory agreement with M7 Group, owned by Canal+, one of Europe’s largest pay-TV providers.

The multi-year extension covers the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, and gives distribution for AMCNI’s entire pay-TV channel portfolio in each country.

The deal secures long-term distribution in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for AMCNI’s portfolio of nine pay-TV brands including Sport1, Sport2, AMC, Film+, Minimax, JimJam, Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, in Hungary 10 channels: Sport1, Sport2, AMC, FilmCafe, FilmMania, Minimax, JimJam, Spektrum, Spektrum Home, TV Paprika, whereas in Romania deal covers distribution of AMC, Filmcafe, Minimax, JimJam, TV Paprika and CBS Reality.

It means sport enthusiasts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will be able to enjoy live and exclusive UEFA Europa League, Conference League and Serie A matches among others, in addition to locally relevant programming such as the Champions Hockey League and national hockey league in Slovakia, whereas in Hungary the UEFA Champions League, the EHF Champions League with Final Four matches, Darts World Championships and ONE MMA are some of the main elements of the offering on Sport1 and Sport2.

In addition to sports, AMC original titles like series from the Walking Dead Universe such as Daryl Dixon 3 or Dead City 2 will be available to viewers in parallel with the US premiere.

In Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, the strategic agreement ensures continued carriage for AMCNI’s entire portfolio on M7’s Skylink and Direct One platforms, in Romania, the agreement secures continued distribution for AMCNI’s pay-TV portfolio (except for FilmMania) on FocusSat’s platform.
