SkyShowtime announces first Polish Original documentary

June 5, 2025 12.24 Europe/London By Julian Clover

SkyShowtime is to explore the life of sports personality Grzegorz Krychowiak as it commissions its first Original documentary for the Polish market.

Krychowiak: One Step from the Top will debut on the Comcast-Paramount streaming service later this year.

The documentary on the Premier League footballer and Polish international was revealed during a joint keynote with , SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan and Senior Regional Content Director, Central and Eastern Europe, Edyta Pytlewska-Mele at the Content Warsaw event.

SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan said: “In the two years since SkyShowtime launched, we have seen how audiences continue to be captivated by local stories. From scripted dramas such as Śleboda, Langer, and Glina which is currently in production, to documentaries, SkyShowtime is committed to being the home for unmissable original stories—a place for both storytellers and story lovers.”

SkyShowtime says the production is not a documentary about football, but instead offers raw, uncensored entertainment that allows viewers to dive into the world of Krychowiak and his wife, French model and bodybuilder Celia Jaunat.

Krychowiak: One Step from the Top is produced for SkyShowtime by Papaya Films.
