ITV Studios bolsters Global Partnerships team with key international hires

June 4, 2025 13.25 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

ITV Studios has announced a series of senior appointments aimed at strengthening its international partnerships and distribution strategy across key territories.

Ed Love joins as SVP APAC, bringing extensive expertise in digital strategy and content partnerships. He previously served as Head of Samsung TV Plus, ANZ and Southeast Asia, where he led the company’s FAST and AVOD streaming platforms across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at MGM, as Executive Director, Sales and Foxtel, where he was Acquisition Manager.

Augustus Dulgaro, EVP Distribution, Asia Pacific at ITV Studios, stated: “We are constantly reviewing and realigning roles to best meet the ever-changing pace of the local market landscape. Ed’s deep knowledge and vast experience align perfectly with our ambition to strengthen and grow our business in the region. His addition will ensure ITV continues to meet the demands of our clients, supplying the world-class content they need.”

Ed Love added: “I’m thrilled to be joining ITV Studios, a company recognised globally for its premium programming and creative legacy. With such a rich and diverse catalogue, there’s a tremendous opportunity to build on the momentum across Asia-Pacific. I’m excited to partner with clients throughout the region and contribute to ITV’s continued international growth.”

Joining the EMEA team and reporting to SVP David Wilcox are Jonathan South and Patrick Phelan. Jonathan assumes the role of VP Nordics & Benelux. Formerly Senior Sales Executive for The Americas, Spain and Portugal at Hat Trick International, he will focus on driving sales and strategic partnerships across the Nordic & Benelux regions. Jonathan’s previous roles include SVP and Head of EMEA at Electus and Director of Worldwide Sales and Head of Non-Scripted and Alternative Programming UK at Televisa.

Patrick will take on the role of VP for German-Speaking Territories, spearheading commercial efforts across the region and overseeing CEE. Phelan most recently served as Head of International Sales at Leonine Studios and has previous experience in the region as VP of Sales at Sky Vision, Director of Sales Liaison at NBCU, VP International Sales at Sonar Entertainment, and Senior Sales Manager at StudiocanalTV/Tandem Communications.

Gisela Asimus Minnbergh, EVP, Distribution EMEA at ITV Studios, commented: “Jonathan and Patrick are outstanding additions to our team, bringing invaluable regional expertise and established relationships. Their experience will help us deliver exceptional service and content to our clients.”

Jonathan South added: “I am thrilled and very motivated to join the EMEA team at ITV Studios. The Nordics & Benelux are discerning and developed territories to which the market-leading content of ITVS is ideally suited. I look forward to playing my part in strengthening our relationships in both.”

Patrick Phelan said: “Joining such a talented international sales team at one of the world’s leading content production and distribution companies is very exciting. The company’s portfolio of high-quality scripted and unscripted programming is second to none, and I’m looking forward to contributing to its continued success in the global entertainment market.”

These strategic appointments reinforce ITV Studios’ ongoing commitment to global growth and local market expertise as the business expands its reach and content portfolio around the world, building on record-breaking profits last year.
