Vodafone TV Czech launches own film channels

May 23, 2025 13.12 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Vodafone has created a suite of own-branded movie channels, available commercial free to subscribers in the Czech and Slovak republics.

Vodafone Family, Vodafone Comedy and Vodafone CZ/SK feature just pre-roll advertisements prior to the film. There are available in the basic Vodafone TV and Vodafone TV+ program offer.

The channels feature restart, allowing viewers to start watching from the beginning of the movie, no matter what time they join the telecast.

Viewers can rewind or fast forward the movie, as per regular on demand services.

The new movie channels are available on all new types of set-top boxes with Linux and Android operating systems and in the Vodafone TV application. Everyone can tune in, including customers who have a CA module or linear box, in the mobile application.

The platform for the new channels was created thanks to a partnership with Starmax Media and technology supported by Tivia. The content is supplied by Bontonfilm, a major European producer and content supplier.
