TVP Russian channel launches new Moldovan programme

May 21, 2025 14.43 Europe/London By Julian Clover

TVP has launched a new information programme in the Russian language aimed at Moldova.

Vot Tak is designed to report on the current situation in the country and the wider region including neighbouring European countries such as Ukraine. The programme’s producers want to fight Kremlin propaganda and disinformation, as well as promoting Moldova’s European course.

“Our new program is an excellent example of how Vot Tak, one of the most dynamic Russian-language media outlets in Europe, is playing a significant role in forming an objective information space for citizens of Moldova and other post-Soviet countries. Moldova is on the verge of important changes that need to be known both by the country’s residents and viewers outside its borders. It is also important that we are a foreign media organization and can look at all events independently and from the outside,” said Project Head Yuri Salodky.

Vot Tak correspondents are based in Chisinau, Warsaw, Brussels, and other global capitals.

Viewers will be able to see reports on the European integration process as well as interviews with politicians and opinion leaders, and stories about cooperation with EU member states.

The programme is available on the Belsat Channel, where 3 three TVP language services (Belorusian, Russian and Ukrainian) all have time slots to broadcast.

In March 2025, TVP launched an information channel in Ukrainian.
