TVP VOD plays increase by a quarter

May 14, 2025 13.38 Europe/London By Julian Clover

TVP VOD recorded a 26% increase in the number of plays in April 2024, when compared to the previous year.

The Polish public broadcaster also increased the number of visits to the portal by 34% year-on-year and page views by 21% year-on-year.

Original productions Krew z krwi and Zatoka szpiegów were among the most popular shows, but it was the film English-language film Conclave, based on a fictional papal election, which took first place in the TVOD category in terms of the number of plays and achieving almost 19% share in this category.

According to a Mediapanel study, TVP’s streaming service was visited by over 2.5 million users last month. Each of them spent an average of almost 4 hours on the platform, which is an hour more time than in April a year earlier. This is the second-best result among all VOD and OTT services present on the Polish market.

TVP VOD recorded a 7.94% share in the total time spent on VOD and OTT streaming platforms in April 2025 and again overtook services such as Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Player and Canal+ Online in this category.

The first FAST channel to feature a single series – For Better and For Worse – also performed strongly.

Excellent results were also achieved by the first personalized FAST channel of Polish Television dedicated to the series “For better and for worse”. Among the live channels available on TVP, only TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info stations achieved better results.
