Wiztivi, a developer of cross-platform video applications, has integrated XroadMedia’s personalisation technology into its user interface (UI), improving TV viewer experiences across devices.
The partnership between the two companies combines Wiztivi’s flexible UI framework Timeless with XroadMedia’s data-driven content discovery and recommendation engine. The result is a turnkey solution for video content providers seeking to personalise user experiences without significant integration effort.
The integration enables a range of personalisation features, including content rails such as “Because You Watched” and “Regional Trends For You”, profile-specific recommendations within households, and real-time, metadata-driven suggestions. It also enables predictive promotion of upcoming content and improved UI responsiveness through intelligent caching.
One joint customer, whose name has not been disclosed, is currently implementing the integrated solution, and will be the first to deploy the combined platform to enhance personalised content delivery.
“We are pleased to integrate XroadMedia’s technology into Timeless. It brings immediate value to our clients by enabling a smarter and more personalised user journey across all devices. This partnership strengthens our ecosystem of advanced technologies, allowing us to scale personalisation in a way that aligns with the evolving expectations of content providers,” said David Justin, CEO of Wiztivi.
XroadMedia CEO Adolf Proidl added: “We are excited to be working with Wiztivi to bring our powerful personalisation to a wider audience. At a crucial time in our industry, delivering a truly personalised experience is vital in delighting, inspiring and therefore retaining loyal subscribers.”
Wiztivi, founded in 2007, has developed user interfaces for TV, set-top boxes, and mobile platforms for clients including SFR and Orange. XroadMedia’s personalisation technology is used by over 200 million users globally, through clients such as Vodafone, A1 Telekom Austria Group, Claro and Three.
