Mediapro has picked up the free-to-air rights package to LaLiga for the next two seasons.
The decision comes just days after the rights and production company withdrew a statement criticising the Spanish football league for the award of an earlier production contract.
Mediapro has succeeded in Lot 5, where it has been granted one free-to-air match per matchday from the second division. It also receives the Lot 6 highlights package for the first and second divisions.
However, LaLiga has opted not to make an award for Lot 4, which features a free-to-air match from the first division. Its believed the lot has failed to reach its reserve price and a second round of bidding is now likely to take place.
Last month LaLiga announced the selection of audiovisual production company Host Broadcast Services (HBS) had been selected for three of the five designated blocks, while a fourth will be handled by Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA).
The decision to award the production contracts to HBS angered Mediapro, which believed it had put forward a superior bid.
But in the last few days Mediapro issued a statement in which it described its earlier comments as a premature assessment of the tender process.
