XITE expands Samsung TV Plus offering in the Netherlands and Germany

April 30, 2025 12.32 Europe/London By Julian Clover

XITE is launching two new music video channels on Samsung TV Plus in the Netherlands: XITE Lekker Hollands and XITE 80s Flashback.

The music video platform says the two channels will offer Dutch viewer more musical variety and nostalgia.

XITE is also expanding its offer in Germany, with the launch of XITE R&B Classic Jams on Samsung TV Plus.

XITE Lekker Hollands brings a mix of the most popular Dutch-language hits from then and now, from classics to the latest singalongs. The canal is an ode to the Dutch music scene and is the destination for lovers of homegrown music. XITE 80s Flashback takes viewers back to the colourful and iconic decade of the 80s, with a non-stop selection of legendary music videos from artists like Madonna, Prince, Duran Duran, and more. A visual and musical journey through time for anyone who loves the retro sound of the 80s.

The launch of these channels follows previous Dutch FAST channels such as XITE Hits, XITE All Out Dance, XITE R&B Classic Jams, XITE Ultimate Throwback and XITE Van Eigen Bodem, and aligns with XITE’s recent international growth. Last month, the platform added XITE Reggae Vibes and XITE Christian Hits to its offer in the United States and Canada.

“We are proud to further expand our offer in the Netherlands with two unique channels that match the broad music taste of the Dutch audience,” says Cees Honig, CEO of XITE. ‘Whether you feel like a sing-along by André Hazes or want to dance to a classic by The Human League – XITE brings it to your living room.’

“We are pleased to work with XITE to further expand the Samsung TV Plus offering in the Netherlands and Germany,” said Benedikt Frey, Country Lead DACH + Benelux at Samsung TV Plus. “The new channels are a good fit for the interests of our viewers and show how FAST content offers more and more room for musical variety.”

XITE aims to provide the best music video experience in the world. XITE was founded in Amsterdam in 2008 and now reaches more than 100 million households in Europe and North America via linear networks, interactive TV and on-demand streaming services.
