From 25 May to 8 June 2025, Eurosport 4K will broadcast live coverage of the French Open from Roland-Garros in UHD HDR.
Around 120 hours of tennis from the main court, Philippe-Chatrier, will be shown in Germany and Austria, with German-language commentary.
The coverage is made possible through partnerships between Warner Bros. Discovery and local distribution platforms: HD+ and MagentaTV in Germany, and simpliTV in Austria. All matches from the tournament’s centre court, including the semi-finals and finals, will be available in UHD resolution.
German viewers with DTH satellite reception can watch the tournament on UHD1 via Astra TV platform HD+, provided they have a UHD-compatible TV set and an active HD+ subscription. Customers of Deutsche Telekom’s TV platform MagentaTV in Germany will also have access to the broadcasts, provided they use a UHD-capable TV set and corresponding MagentaTV set-top box and have at least a MagentaZuhause M subscription package.
In Austria, the coverage will be available through TV platform simpliTV as part of the simpli more subscription package, which includes both DTH satellite and streaming access.
The line-up of players expected to feature includes top names such as defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, world number one Jannik Sinner, and Germany’s Alexander Zverev, a finalist last year. Novak Djokovic, a multiple Grand Slam winner, also remains among the tournament favourites. On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek enters the tournament as the clear favourite, having won the title three times in a row.
