Cosmote takes Telekom brand

April 29, 2025 13.22 Europe/London By Julian Clover

OTE Group has announced it is combining is popular Cosmote brand with that of Deutsche Telekom to create Cosmote Telekom.

Deutsche Telekom has been the largest shareholder in OTE since 2009.

“By joining the Telekom global brand umbrella, we are solidifying our position as part of a worldwide telecommunications group with a strong presence in the US and Europe, significant strength, and economies of scale. At the same time, we get closer to an international footprint, unlocking additional value for our customers, our people, and all stakeholders, further differentiating us from the competition.” said OTE Group’s Chairman and CEO, Kostas Nebis. “The strategic decision to unite the two brands marks a new era of opportunities. Through Cosmote Telekom, we will be able to further tap into Telekom’s expertise, innovations, economies of scale such as global partnerships, and implement even more cutting-edge, world-class solutions. Our goal is not just to meet the demands of the digital age, but to exceed them”, he added.

Telekom’s Magenta-coloured T has also been added to a restyled Cosmote logo, with OTE acknowledging its international recognition.

Connecting Your World, the legend used by Telekom, will also appear alongside the Cosmote Telekom brand, and appears in a new TV commercial launched this week.
