Mercedes-Benz adds Joyn to in-car entertainment offering

April 15, 2025 10.16 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Joyn, the streaming platform operated by ProSiebenSat.1, is now available in selected Mercedes-Benz cars, becoming the first commercial German streaming provider to be integrated into the manufacturer’s in-car entertainment system.

The Joyn app is initially available in models including the E-Class, CLE, C-Class, GLC and the new CLA, via the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus. The rollout to further model series is planned in the coming months. Drivers and passengers can access Joyn content during charging, in traffic jams or while using automated driving features.

“This is a true power couple in in-car entertainment. We are very excited that Joyn will now provide top-quality and free entertainment in selected Mercedes-Benz models. This expands Joyn’s availability to yet another platform, with the aim of delivering outstanding entertainment to our viewers anytime and anywhere. It’s streaming with a star – it doesn’t get better than this,” said Nicole Agudo Berbel, Chief Distribution Officer at ProSiebenSat.1 and Managing Director of Joyn.

Mishel Podolskis, Manager Video-Streaming at Mercedes-Benz, added: “The partnership with Joyn is a key step for us. Joyn is an important brand for our younger customers in the DACH region. The Joyn offering – especially the live TV from 70 channels – brings a new level of in-car entertainment for our customers. The agile development we achieved together in just a few sprints shows how companies with the right mindset can work together successfully.”
