
V-Nova has announced its inaugural participation in a patent pool, joining the Access Advance HEVC Patent Pool.
The company holds 1,200 patents across advanced compression, AI-driven processing, and immersive media technologies.
V-Nova’s technologies are designed to enhance the efficiency and performance of existing and future codecs, including HEVC. By joining the Access Advance HEVC Patent Pool, its looking to cement its role as a contributor to broader codec ecosystems, promoting compatibility, efficiency, and adoption across the industry.
V-Nova technologies are already specified by key standards bodies, including MPEG, SBTVD, ATSC, ISO, and SMPTE.
