TLC joins DNMG portfolio in expanded Warner Bros. Discovery deal

April 1, 2025 08.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German cable operator association DNMG and Warner Bros. Discovery have strengthened their long-standing partnership by adding TLC to their framework agreement.

This expansion means that up to 200 DNMG cable operators can now offer a total of five free-to-air channels from Warner Bros. Discovery on their networks.

TLC targets a female audience with real-life entertainment, showcasing life in all its diversity. The channel’s programming includes human stories, unique lifestyles, family dynamics, true-crime series, mystery cases, and lifestyle shows covering home and garden, renovations, cooking and baking.

DNMG is now marketing the new distribution agreement to its network operators, who can integrate TLC into their services and make it available to viewers as part of the free-to-air portfolio. Acting as the central interface, DNMG ensures the efficient implementation of the agreement, serving as the primary contact for both Warner Bros. Discovery and network operators on all contractual matters.

“By adding TLC to our portfolio, we are introducing an absolute entertainment treasure,” said Damian Lohmann, Director of Partnerships at DNMG. “The combination of captivating real-life formats and legendary cult series such as Emergency Room and Dallas makes TLC a must-have for our network operators and their customers. We are thrilled to bring this exceptional channel to an even wider audience – a true win for all fans of series and entertainment.”

Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial and Managing Director at Warner Bros. Discovery Deutschland, added: “TLC provides profound insights into diverse lifestyles and social themes through its rich genre mix – and from April, this will also extend to fictional content. This new partnership allows us to make TLC accessible to even more viewers, thanks to the extensive reach of DNMG’s network operators.”
