ANGA COM 2025 publishes conference programme

ANGA COM has published its conference programme. 28 of the total of over 60 panels with more than 200 speakers will be held in English. ANGA COM takes place from 3 to 5 June 2025 in Cologne.

The Gigabit Summit, the Media Summit and the Fiber Summit are the highlights of the conference programme which will kick off with a keynote speech by Hendrik Wüst, Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. This will be immediately followed by the Gigabit Summit with the CEOs of leading network operators and the Federal Network Agency on the most important question of the coming months “What needs to change in Germany after the election?”.

The first highlight of the media programme is an exclusive interview with Dr. Katrin Vernau, Director General of WDR since 1 January 2025. She will answer the question “Quo Vadis WDR?”. This will be followed by the top-level “Media Summit: Content, Streaming, Transformation”. The second day will begin with the Fiber Summit entitled “How far will we get with FTTH in 2025?”, also attended by leading CEOs from the industry.

The strategy programme for the three days of the conference includes the following panels in the area of broadband and fiber optics:

– International CEO Panel (in cooperation with Egon Zehnder)
– Marketing and Sales: How do we increase the Take-Up Rates for Gigabit Products?
– Migration from Copper to Fiber: Key Questions and Concepts for Implementation
– Endgame in the Fiber Optic Market? Consolidation vs. Cooperation (in cooperation with EY)
– Scaling and Increasing Efficiency in the Fiber Optic Business (in cooperation with Accenture)
– Mobile Communications: How do we achieve 5G Coverage? (in cooperation with VATM)
– Cooperation Models and Open Access: Best Practice Presentations
– Implementing Open Access efficiently: Really a Question of Size?
– Telecommunications Regulation: Key Topics after the Federal Election and at EU Level
– Leading Across Generations: Women Shaping the Future of Connectivity (in cooperation with Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center, USA)
– Fiber in America: Overcoming Deployment Challenges & Unlocking Future Opportunities (in cooperation with Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center, USA)
– Shaping the Future of FTTH: Policy Priorities and the Copper Switch-Off Tracker for a Digital Europe

The diverse media strategy programme includes the following panels:

– The Future of Audience Measurement for Television, Streaming and Online
– TV Distribution after the Change from Collective to Individual Contracts: Review and Outlook after one Year
– Media and Copyright Law: Artificial Intelligence, Embedding and Retransmission
– Data driven TV Advertising for Streaming and TV (in cooperation with German TV Platform)
– Media Landscape under Pressure: The Market needs new Rules (in cooperation with VAUNET)
– Between Vision and Reality: How AI is changing the Media Industry (in cooperation with VAUNET)
– Sports Content as a Game Changer for Digital Business Models: Advertising, Sponsoring, Paid Content (in cooperation with Accenture)
– Corporate Media vs. Creator Media: Strategies for Success in a Changing Media Landscape (in cooperation with EY Parthenon)

On Thursday, 5 June 2025, attendance at ANGA COM, including the entire conference programme, is completely free of charge. The day begins with the Infrastructure Summit “How do we speed up the Inhouse Roll-Out?”. This will be followed by the topic “Inhouse Networks and Housing Industry: Business Models after the Change from Collective to Individual Contracts” as well as two cooperation panels with the Federal Gigabit Bureau and the Competence Center Digital Infrastructure NRW.
