ORS launches TV-as-a-Service platform Austrostream

March 25, 2025 18.09 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Austrian technical service provider ORS Group is further expanding its streaming business with the launch of the new TV-as-a-Service platform Austrostream.

This solution enables network and platform operators to offer their own branded TV services without significant technical or financial investment.

Austrostream delivers a flexible, all-in-one solution specifically tailored to the needs of network operators and businesses, according to ORS, adding that it ensures a consistent brand presence without requiring high investment costs or in-house development. ORS can manage all technical and operational processes, from content administration and storefront management to technical support.

A key feature of Austrostream is its strong brand presence through custom branding options. The platform allows B2B customers to showcase their brand prominently while integrating popular apps like Netflix and Disney+ into their ecosystem. Additionally, AI-supported content recommendations help users discover relevant content, keeping them engaged with the platform over the long term.

“Expanding our portfolio with Austrostream is a significant milestone for us. Our goal is to enable network and platform operators to offer an attractive, high-quality, and modern TV service under their own brand with minimal effort, helping them drive customer growth,” said Thomas Langsenlehner, Chief Customer Officer of ORS Group.

The first customer is Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe (IKB). The Innsbruck-based regional infrastructure service provider, offering services in electricity, water, heating, telecommunications, and mobility, replaces its existing TV platform with Austrostream.

“With Austrostream, we offer our customers modern television that can adapt to their needs – both now and in the future. This strengthens our position as a provider of high-quality services in Tyrol,” said Thomas Stotter, Head of Telecommunications at IKB.

At the upcoming CableTech conference in Judenburg, an Austrian trade show for cable operators, ORS Group will present Austrostream for the first time on 26 and 27 March 2025. The event will also feature a joint presentation by ORS and ORF ON on “The Future of White-Label TV: Innovation, Scalability, and Growth with Austrostream”.
