ANGA COM on course to break records

March 18, 2025 12.01 Europe/London By Julian Clover

ANGA COM has released further details of this year’s conference programme. The CEO heavy agenda features North Rhine-Westphalia state premier Hendrik Wüst and Dr. Katrin Vernau, Director General of public broadcaster WDR.

The exhibition is also on course to break records with already 480 exhibitor registrations from 40 countries and bookings for more stand space than last year. In 2024, Europe’s leading Exhibition and Conference for Broadband, Television & Online recorded 23,000 participants.

After a keynote speech by Wüst, the Gigabit Summit will discuss what needs to change in Germany after the election, with Dr. Daniela Brönstrup, Vice President, Federal Network Agency; Marcel de Groot, CEO, Vodafone Deutschland; Friedrich Joussen, Executive Chairman, 1&1 Versatel; Timo von Lepel, Managing Director, NetCologne and Andreas Pfisterer, CEO, Deutsche Glasfaser.

There will also be an international CEO panel featuring Adel Al-Saleh, CEO, SES; Alex Goldblum, CEO, Eurofiber and Christian Hillabrant, CEO, Vantage Towers.

The annual media summit will include contributions from Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial & Managing Director, Warner Bros. Discovery; Henrik Pabst, Managing Director and Chief Content Officer, Seven. One Entertainment Group; Eun-Kyung Park, Country Manager, The Walt Disney Company Germany, Switzerland & Austria; Dr. Christoph Schneider, Country Director, Prime Video DE/AT & Managing Director, Amazon Digital Germany and Elke Walthelm, Chief Operating Officer, Sky Deutschland.

Dr Peter Charissé, CEO, ANGA COM said: “The exhibition and conference programme are right on track for success. I am particularly pleased about the high participation of fiber CEOs, the keynote of Hendrik Wüst, Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the first-class presence of the media industry once again. Over the next few weeks, we will be publishing many up-to-date strategy and technology panels. The programme will become even more international. Cologne is and will remain the ideal meeting point and marketplace for the telecommunications and media industry.”
