RTL AdAlliance launches AdManager for European video ad buying

March 6, 2025 09.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

RTL AdAlliance has unveiled its new self-service advertising platform, AdManager, offering a streamlined solution for advertisers to access premium video inventory across European broadcasters and digital media brands.

The launch marks a milestone in the advertising industry, simplifying ad buying by providing direct access to pre-curated premium ad packages, according to RTL AdAlliance, adding that advertisers can now seamlessly engage with audiences through multiple pan-European media channels, including addressable TV, connected TV, broadcaster video-on-demand and streaming inventories.

Eliminating previous barriers to premium, brand-safe video inventory, the platform offers advertisers, from small businesses to global brands, a gateway to major European media brands, including RTL, Warner Bros. Discovery in Germany and Viaplay in Finland.

AdManager enables advertisers to segment ad inventory with the same convenience as social ad buying, without additional fees. Brands can create, manage and monitor campaigns in real-time, ensuring precise targeting and maximum reach, according to RTL AdAlliance. The platform also enables advertisers to align campaigns with premium entertainment segments, capitalising on major events such as sports tournaments, festive seasons and cultural moments.

The gradual rollout will encompass major European markets, including Germany, Italy, Spain, the Nordics and France.

“Today, advertisers and agencies have a fundamental need for simplicity in European media buying. By introducing the AdManager by RTL AdAlliance, we take a significant step to make navigating through our total video universe in all European markets as simple as possible, providing key information, guidance for media planning and buying: Reach the audiences you want, pay only for what has been delivered, and access all relevant campaign information with just a few clicks,” said Oliver Vesper, CDO and Deputy CEO of RTL AdAlliance.

Developed in collaboration with DanAds, a provider of self-serve ad tech infrastructure, the platform is backed by RTL Group’s adtech business smartclip, ensuring a fully automated buying process through integration with its adserver smartx. Local RTL AdAlliance offices also provide personalised support to brands and agencies throughout the onboarding and campaign execution stages.
