Atmedia adds AXN Black and AXN White

March 5, 2025 14.44 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Atmedia has expanded its channel portfolio by adding representation for AXN Black and AXN White.

From 1 April, the two channels will join the atmax, atadults and atchoice business packages. At the same time. AXN Black and AXN White will also be added to the official TV audience measurement, which will allow us to sell their advertising space on the TV currency GRP.

“By adding AXN Black and AXN White to our portfolio, we are deepening our cooperation with the media company Antenna Entertainment, the owner of the AXN brand in Central and Eastern Europe. We have been commercially representing its flagship series channel AXN on the Czech market since 2008 when Atmedia entered the Czech market,” says Michaela Suráková, Managing Director at our company. “We offer TV advertisers and media agencies extended advertising space for their campaigns and the opportunity to reach other attractive target groups of viewers,” adds Robert Martiška, Sales Director at our company.

The AXN Black series channel mainly appeals to men aged 30-59, offering action, heroes and sci-fi series such as Stargate, Renegade, Treasure Hunters, S.W.A.T. or The Lost World. AXN White is targeting women aged 30-59, bringing them romantic, dramatic and relationship series such as Prairie House, Heartland Ranch, Hope Hospital, Very Greek Relationships and Grand Hotel. AXN Black and AXN White can be found in the offer of all the largest pay-TV operators on the Czech market – O2 TV, Vodafone TV, Magenta TV and Skylink.

“In cooperation with our long-term business partner Atmedia, we are expanding our offer on the Czech television advertising market with two more thematic channels. This step represents another important milestone in strengthening the presence of the AXN brand on the Czech market,” says Stefan Dakovski, Commercial Director CEE at Antenna Entertainment.

Atmedia represent 20 thematic channels, working with Canal+, Warner Bros Discovery, The Walt Disney Company, Czech television stations Rebel, Relax, TV channels from the Czechoslovak Film Society media group (CS Film, CS History, CS Mystery) and Televize Seznam, and the Slovak television group JOJ (JOJ Cinema, JOJ Family).
