February 24, 2025 17.13 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German cable association DNMG and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced an expansion of their long-standing partnership, bringing Eurosport 1 to DNMG cable networks.

Effective immediately, the sports channel joins HGTV, Tele 5 and DMAX on the networks of up to 200 DNMG-affiliated cable operators, significantly increasing its household reach across Germany.

“The addition of Eurosport 1 to our portfolio is a huge win for our network operators and their customers,” said Damian Lohmann, Director of Partnerships at DNMG. “Eurosport 1 brings high-calibre live sports, thrilling moments and intense competitions directly into people’s living rooms.”

Matthias Heinze, SVP Commercial at Warner Bros. Discovery Deutschland, added: “Eurosport 1 is synonymous with world-class live sports entertainment and has captivated audiences for decades with premium broadcasts. This partnership with DNMG is a major success, as it allows us to instantly expand Eurosport 1’s reach within DNMG’s networks, bringing top-tier sports to even more fans in Germany.”
