Viaplay will next month launch two linear channels into the Dutch market.
The channels, Viaplay TV and Viaplay TV+, will initially be available through television providers Delta and Odido.
Last year, Viaplay ran a pilot where it rebranded SBS9 as Viaplay TV, and showed a mix of content from both Viaplay and SBS6. From March 14, SBS9 will return in its own right, and the two Viaplay channels will go it alone.
The free-to-air Viaplay TV will broadcast live football and Formula 1 practice sessions, while Viaplay TV+ will be a €16.99 per month premium channel featuring all Formula One sessions, major Premier League matches and the World Darts Championship.
Viaplay briefly operated a linear channel in the UK, before financial difficulties meant it was sold back to its previous owners Premier Sports.
