
United Group has reached agreement to sell SBB Serbia to e& PPF Telecom, as well as the Net TV Plus business and its sports broadcasting rights for Western Balkans to Telekom Srbija.
The combines businesses represent a total of €1.5 billion.
United, which has been present in the Serbian market for over two decades, will retain a number of other outlets including broadcasters N1 and Nova S. The channels will remain available on SBB’s fixed network and will also be offered to Yettel customers.
Victoriya Boklag, United Group’s CEO, said: “Our Group was built on the foundation of SBB almost 24 years ago and grew into the largest telco and media company in our region.
“Today’s divestments are in line with our strategy to sharpen our focus on the markets where we can provide the full spectrum of mobile and fixed telecommunication services to our customers, which will enable us to realise the greatest potential for growth and value creation.”
In addition, and as previously announced United Group has signed a non-binding agreement with BH Telekom d.d. Sarajevo for the potential sale of Telemach BH d.o.o. Sarajevo and Telemach Crna Gora d.o.o. Podgorica.
The transactions are subject to regulatory approvals and are expected to be completed during H1 2025.
On the competition of the transactions, United will have divested itself of all its non-EU telco assets. No other divestments are planned.
