The KOTTO and OLO remote controls, developed by t4h, have been honoured at the German Design Awards 2025.
It follows their recognition at the Red Dot Design Awards 2024 and the iF Design Award 2024 for the KOTTO remote control.
The remote controls incorporate advanced energy harvesting technologies, capable of powering themselves through both indoor and outdoor light sources. This innovation drastically reduces the reliance on traditional batteries.
The remotes are designed to complement modern living rooms, providing a harmonious blend of style, sustainability, and user experience.
“Winning the German Design Awards is a testament to our commitment to merging form, function, and sustainable innovations,” said Ton Den Ouden, Director of Engineering and Innovation. “These remotes reflect a vision where cutting-edge technology meets the everyday needs of users without compromising on elegance or environmental responsibility.”
The German Design Awards 2025 jury praised both KOTTO and OLO for their forward-thinking approach to design, sustainability and innovations.
