talkSPORT has become the latest radio station to visualise its output with a live video feed.
Viewers with access to LG Channels, FireTV, Apple TV, Google TV and from early February, Samsung TV Plus will be able to access talkSPORT’s sports coverage, opinion and debate.
The News Broadcasting station says the transition to smart TV is a natural progression for the brand, which already attracts 150 million monthly views on YouTube from state-of-the-art studios, leveraging the latest technology to meet the evolving needs of modern sports audiences.
“talkSPORT is already a huge hit on YouTube – attracting over 150m views of its brilliantly visualised content every month. These partnerships with the leading smart TV operators in the UK open the door to new audiences and ensure fans can experience the very best in sports content like never before,” said Liam Fisher, Head of talkSPORT.
talkSPORT’s expansion onto smart TV includes its launch as a 24/7 FAST channel (free ad-supported streaming TV), available on LG Channels and Samsung TV Plus. In addition, fans can now enjoy the brand new talkSPORT app on FireTV, Apple TV and Google TV guaranteeing seamless access to their favourite sports programming on a wide range of living room devices. More FAST channel and video on demand partners will be announced shortly.
Other broadcasters, such as Times Radio, LBC and BBC Radio 5 Live broadcast all or part of their output on YouTube or through their own apps. Individual items are clipped to share on social media.
