Spanish defence and technology company Indra has tabled a €650 million offer for the Spanish satellite operator Hispasat from current owner Redeia.
El Pais reported the proposed sale on Friday, but it is yet to be confirmed.
According to the Spanish daily a deal is close and is currently with the respective boards.
Indra’s interest is principally in Hispasat’s military wing, rather than its broadcast sector.
Indra is 28% owned by the Spanish government though Redeia, the former Red Eléctrica Group, is also partially state owned.
