
Good Morning Britain has launched a new social media strand on its TikTok platform that includes presenter-led news bulletins.
The breakfast show has seen impressive growth across its social media platforms with 95 million views on news content shared on TikTok.
Neil Thompson, Editor, Good Morning Britain, ITV said: “The Good Morning Britain brand has amassed over half a billion video views across all of its social media platforms. On average, last year, GMB content reached over 1 million accounts a day across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok so we look forward to continuing to reach our viewers via new channels.”
GMB also appeared in the top search on TikTok for an interview with reality TV star and DJ Jack Fowler discussing his nut allergy with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls with the clip gaining 5 million views.
Across other platforms, businessman Dave Fishwick’s interview with a loan shark garnered 16 million views on YouTube Shorts – making it the most-viewed YouTube video ever.
