Piers Morgan named as top British influencer in new YouTube chart

January 17, 2025 12.34 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Piers Morgan has been named as Britain’s top influencer on YouTube, according to a new survey.

The Piers Morgan Uncensored YouTube channel was ranked at number four globally –behind The Joe Rogan Experience, Ben Shapiro and The Philip DeFranco Show – in the news influencer chart, which looked at 100+ accounts on the platform with more than one million subscribers.

It comes just days after the channel announced a new and innovative four-year deal with News UK, with Morgan acquiring his YouTube channel from his former employers.

Alex Campbell, Piers Morgan Uncensored’s Executive Editor, said: “The Uncensored audience alone is growing faster than that of many entire TV networks and we’re only just getting started. The only thing bigger is Piers Morgan’s head.”

The news survey, released by Press Gazette, also showed Piers Morgan Uncensored added almost 1.8 million subscribers between October 2023 and January 2025, just behind Fox News and ahead of NBC News. It was ranked 8th in the chart of biggest news channel subscriber growth.

The channel was also 8th on the list of most watched publishers, as well as the 3rd fastest growing YouTube channel, as a percentage of previous subscriber accounts. It also made the top ten in the average views per video for news personality YouTube accounts, ahead of both Ben Shapiro and Megyn Kelly’s shows.

Earlier this month it was announced that Piers Morgan’s Wake Up Productions is to acquire the Piers Morgan Uncensored business from News UK.

The programme was the stand out show of the ill-fated Talk TV launch.
