TVN Warner Bros. Discovery is Poland’s market leader in 2024

January 15, 2025 13.47 Europe/London By Julian Clover

TVN Warner Bros. Discovery continued to dominate the Polish TV market during 2024.

According to Nielsen, the group’s average audience share of total audiences was 22.4%; commercial channel TVN took first place in the 20-54 viewers group, with an average share of almost 8%.

TVN24 was the leader among news stations in both target groups, achieving a 6% share among all viewers and 3.8% of the commercial audience.

Eurosport 1 was the most watched subscription sports channel. The station recorded a share of almost 0.6% of the commercial audience and over 0.8% of all viewers.

In June 2024, the new Max platform and Player service were visited by almost 6.7 million Real Users.

“2024 was a time of dynamic development and bold innovations,” says Dorota Eberhardt, Program Director of Streaming, New Generation Channels and Program Operations at TVN Warner Bros. Discovery. “We successfully introduced the unique Max platform to the Polish market, which quickly built a strong position in the streaming sector. We also implemented 20 modern FAST channels, responding to the changing expectations of viewers. The great popularity of new formats confirms our belief that we have chosen the right direction. In 2025, we intend to raise the bar even further, offering exceptional film and series productions and innovative solutions within the entire ecosystem of the group.”

Last year, TVN became the leader of the Big 5 ranking, which features the largest television stations in Poland, thanks to a share of almost 8% in the commercial audience. TVN7 also recorded very good results with a share of 4% in the 20-54 group of viewers.

In June, when Max made its debut, Player and Max services achieved a combined result of almost 6.7 million users.
