LG Electronics has introduced LG Radio+, a new ad-supported audio streaming service designed for LG smart TVs.
The service, which is running webOS 6.0 and later, provides users with access to a wide range of radio stations and podcasts, with features aimed at delivering an intuitive and personalised listening experience, according to the manufacturer.
LG Radio+ integrates with the LG ThinQ app, allowing users to control the service through their mobile devices. Available in the US and Korea, the service includes a variety of popular channels such as NPR, CNN Radio, Fox Radio and The Joe Rogan Experience in the US, alongside local stations and podcasts in Korea.
The platform offers a user interface with curated content presented on an “on air” page and personalised options for favourite channels. A “featured” page highlights trending music. In total, the line-up includes over 14,500 channels in the US and 440 in Korea.
Developed in partnership with global audio provider Radioline, LG Radio+ can be accessed through the LG content store, the app menu or the remote control’s voice search function.
