M6 Publicité to integrate smartclip adtech solutions

December 17, 2024 10.32 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

RTL Group’s adtech business, smartclip, and M6 Publicité, the advertising sales house of Groupe M6, have entered a strategic technology partnership.

As part of the move, smartclip’s adtech solutions will progressively be integrated into M6 Publicité’s adtech stack, supporting Groupe M6’s ambition to triple its streaming revenues to €200 million by 2028. For smartclip, the partnership is a major milestone, strengthening its local expertise and consolidating its position as a leading adtech partner for broadcasters across Europe.

M6 Publicité will have access to a platform tailored to the needs of European broadcasters, enabling close collaboration with smartclip to set adtech priorities and drive innovation. This includes a unified technology set-up for streaming and addressable TV, programmatic advertising and real-time, cross-media measurement reporting through the integrated user interface from Realytics, a French adtech company owned by smartclip.

“We look forward to working with smartclip to enhance our ad capabilities, deliver innovative solutions to our clients and contribute to creating a European adtech champion. Together, we will explore winning strategies that combine the power of traditional broadcasting with the precision of digital marketing,” said Hortense Thomine-Desmazures, Managing Director of M6 Publicité.

Thomas Servatius, Co-CEO of smartclip, added: “Our partnership with Groupe M6 marks a pivotal step in our commitment to the French TV industry. With a dedicated local team, we are ready to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of M6 Publicité and the broader market. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to empowering local broadcasters, connected TV providers, and telecommunication companies with the most innovative adtech solutions designed to enhance control, drive efficiency, and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
