Netflix has given more details of the audience for the fight between YouTuber Jake Paul and former professional boxer Mike Tyson.
The streamer says 108 million live global viewers made the event the most-streamed sporting event ever.
The figure – which also translates to 46.6 million views for the entire event – took the fight to top place in 78 countries and the Top 10 in all 91 countries tracked by the weekly Netflix self-survey.
The fight also dominated X, accounting for 11 of the Top 11 trending topics in the United States and generating over 1.4 billion owned impressions across Netflix’s global social channels.
However, despite the figures there were issues with buffering, freezing, and audio during the fights leading to commentators to apologise for the problems during the telecast.
The live event also saw Katie Taylor defend her title as the undisputed Super Lightweight World Championship in a brutal 10-round rematch against Amanda Serrano to become the most-watched professional women’s sports event in US history, averaging an estimated 74 million live viewers.
The holiday rom-com Hot Frosty, starring Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan (Schitt’s Creek), debuted in first place (16 million views) on the English Films List.
The Non-English films list saw the drama Let Go (Sweden) hold the top spot (10 million views) for the second week while documentary The Lost Children (Colombia) debuted on the list at number two (7.9 million views).
