Canal+ Polska has chosen video technology solutions provider Cinegy for an expansion of its playout capability.
The Polish pay-TV broadcaster is deploying the Cinegy Air and Cinegy Capture solutions to support additional HD and Ultra HD channels as it meets the growing demand for high-quality content.
The combination of both solutions gives Canal+ Polska a reliable, stable, functional and price competitive software-based solution that is scalable, customisable and futureproof, according to Cinegy. The additional playout capability was delivered by the broadcaster’s long-term partner and systems integrator, Studiotech Poland.
“The new Cinegy system was easy to implement, can be booted extremely fast, and adding new channels is a rapid and effortless process. The system delivers robust core functionality for our playout needs, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation, and we’re collaborating with Cinegy to expand capabilities even further. We can also now operate it as a channel in a box for some of our services, in particular the thematic channels we provide,” said Hubert Pogorzelski, TV Production Systems Manager at Canal+ Polska.
As part of the project, Cinegy’s professional services team led by Simon Pilbeam added some user-specific functionality. This included support for Kantar watermarking and the additional specific counters in GUI.
