Ocilion adds Amazon Prime Video and YouTube to IPTV platform

November 14, 2024 08.24 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

IPTV service provider Ocilion is opening up access to integrated premium apps on its current P500 set-top box series.

This starts with the two streaming services Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, which are available immediately. End customers can access the apps directly in the TV user interface of their network operator.

EWE is the first Ocilion customer to have already activated the two apps with its ‘ZuhauseTV’ product. With the media libraries already available (including ARD, ZDF, ZDFtivi, ProSieben) and various basic apps (including Kixi, LokalTV, Erotic TV), the network operator now offers a total of over 25 integrated services on its IPTV platform.

The Ocilion P500 boxes have received a software update to the new RDK operating system enabling the new service. Talks are underway with other streaming providers.
