Arqiva has announced the appointment of Mark Steele as its Chief of Operations.
Steele joined Arqiva in 2015 in a project capacity before being appointed Director of Service Operations later the same year. In 2021 he moved to become Director of Field Operations where he was responsible for the hundreds of engineers operating 24/7 in the field to manage UK TV and radio broadcasting and smart utilities networks.
Steele was appointed to the Chief of Operations role in an interim capacity in Spring 2024 and his permanent appointment comes after a competitive recruitment process.
“Both during Mark’s nine years with Arqiva and previously, he has managed the whole gambit of operational functions. So, it gives me great to pleasure to confirm his appointment as our new Chief of Operations. Not only does he bring a phenomenal depth of knowledge of our business, he also brings a drive for innovation,” said Shuja Khan, CEO, Arqiva.
Steele has worked for a variety of other businesses including Virgin Media, Telewest Broadband and Yorkshire Electricity.
