There will also be a judges’ award for the “HbbTV Newcomer of the Year”.

“I have been personally impressed by the sheer number and the high quality of the 33 HbbTV Awards submissions received this year. Some of them are – positively – unexpected as they do not originate from the ‘usual suspects’ or introduce a totally new and unexpected innovation. We are blessed to have the interest of such a creative and skilled community around HbbTV!”, said Vincent Grivet, Chairman of the HbbTV Association.

The shortlists of finalists will be put forward to an independent jury of industry experts selecting the winners. Details about the jury members can be found here.

The prizes will be awarded at a glamorous ceremony on 14 November. The event forms part of the 12th HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2024, jointly hosted by the HbbTV Association and UK-based platform operator Everyone TV (backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 & Channel 5) on 14-15 November in London. All finalists are invited to attend the awards ceremony.
