Sky Broadband says it’s the only major provider with a dedicated 24/7 switching support service.
Launching the service, Sky says that switchers will be able to get through to a real person with any questions they may have. It opens up a new front in customer acquisition where the principal source of getting a new customer is your competitor.
Sky says that switching broadband providers is “easier than ever under the industry’ new One Touch Switch process”.
The process was first announced by Ofcom in September 2021 and finally launched in September 2024 after a three month trial.
Sky will initially support customers through a ‘Digital Hub’ before handing them to their 24/7 support that consists of an agent via phone between 8am and 8pm, or use the online chat function from 8pm to 8am.
