Kylian Mbappé invests in German smart TV manufacturer Loewe

September 30, 2024 23.01 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Kylian Mbappé has become a shareholder in German electronics manufacturer Loewe Technology.

With the French professional footballer’s investment, the long-established brand aims to further strengthen its global position, open up new markets and expand its position among younger, tech-savvy consumers. No information was provided on the scope of the investment or financial details.

“I’ve always been passionate about technology and innovation,” said Mbappé. “Loewe is a brand that stands for dedication, determination, performance and authenticity – values that inspire me both on and off the pitch. I look forward to contributing to the brand’s next step and helping it achieve new successes, especially as it evolves to meet the demands of today’s customers.”

According to Loewe, the aim of Mbappé’s investment is to accelerate the company’s global growth strategy, particularly in regions such as North America and Asia. The partnership is also expected to drive new product innovation, with a focus on powerful, interactive home entertainment experiences designed for a modern lifestyle.

Aslan Khabliev, CEO of Loewe Technology, said: “We are delighted to have Kylian Mbappé join the Loewe family. His influence goes beyond sport and makes him an ideal partner to modernise our brand and appeal to a new generation of consumers. Together, we will combine our heritage in premium products with Kylian’s global appeal and drive impressive innovations that reflect both luxury and cutting-edge technology.”

In addition to expanding Loewe’s product range and market presence, the collaboration will also focus on initiatives that promote access to technology for all – in line with Kylian Mbappé’s commitment to social causes.

Loewe, based in Kronach, Bavaria, was founded in 1923 and manufactures smart TVs and other TV and audio devices ‘made in Germany’. After his youth career, Kylian Mbappé played for AS Monaco and then Paris Saint-Germain, where he became the top scorer in the club’s history before moving to Real Madrid in summer 2024.
