ducktv joins o2 Telefónica’s TV platform in Germany

September 30, 2024 08.03 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Children’s channel ducktv is part of the TV platform which o2 Telefónica launched in Germany on 25 September 2024.

ducktv is offered as a FAST Channel through an agreement facilitated by The Channel Store, a provider of FAST/AVOD B2B services. The company is managing content negotiations, platform integration and monetisation for o2 Telefónica’s FAST/AVOD services in Germany.

“We’ve seen great success with our existing FAST agreements in Germany, with strong viewership and engagement. We’re excited to expand our reach with this new partnership and proud to support the successful launch of the o2 TV platform,” said Iza Piotrowska, Director of Affiliate Sales and Business Development at ducktv parent company Mega Max Media.

Fernando Garcia, CEO of The Channel Store, added: “Kids content is a must in any entertainment offering and ducktv represents this combination of high quality and educational content for young audiences as has been already demonstrated in many countries and platforms.”

ducktv, which targets children from 6 months to 4 years, launched in 2007 and is now available in over 150 countries around the globe.

Telefónica’s o2 TV platform offers over 130 HD channels, on-demand content, pay-TV channels, personalised recommendations and interactive functions. The service is available through the o2 TV app on smart TVs, smartphones, tablets or laptops.
